There’s a new music platform launching today called Subvert (started by ex Bandcamp employees) that I wanted to let you all know about. It has the aim of being the new Bandcamp, but owned by artists as a co-op so every day is Bandcamp Friday.

I'm a big advocate for artists getting a fair deal for their music and Subvert looks to have the right ethics. If you want to know more you can read their zine entitled 'Plan For The Artist Owned Internet' here or by joining the platform.

Bandcamp has changed owners a few times in recent years and there are concerns the platform will become less artist focused with new investors chasing profits. Discovery has already become more difficult on there.

Now Subvert looks to be the best option. I'd love to hear what you all think and tell me how it goes if you sign up!

We've already sold a few Infra Violet songs on there in a single day, which was a nice suprise. I don't even need to tell you that would have taken thousands of Spotify streams to match up income wise.
